The UAMR Graduate Centre for Development Studies is a collaboration project between the Institute of Development Research and Development Policy (IEE), Ruhr-University Bochum, Institute of Political Science, University Duisburg-Essen and Institute for Development and Peace (INEF), University Duisburg-Essen.
Research and teaching of the partners is complementary: IEE’s domains are economics and law, IfP and INEF have a strong record in political science.
All three institutes run development oriented multidisciplinary Master- and PhD-Programs which reflect the disciplinary focus of each of the partners. Cooperation in the new Graduate Centre through exchanging lecturers and students and through recognition of modules of the partners is enlarging students’ choices and options for individual specialization.
